A.I.S.A.: An Erotic Sci-Fi Romance Page 7

She grinned and kissed me, then raced for the door, obviously excited. By the visit I mean, not the access. It occurred to me then that she really didn’t have an assistant A.I. and could interface directly, and I wondered what that would be like as I followed at a more sedate pace. I was honestly a little nervous about meeting her family, her father had put her in my care to keep her safe, and I’d managed to fuck it up inside two weeks.

  “Are those names acronyms too?”

Aisa looked back at me, “No, I’m the oldest, and was first. After that he just gave normal names. It wasn’t until he realized I was more human than A.I. that his focus changed. He actually had been intending a new kind of A.I. that would eventually be mass produced and marketed, but like you he decided it would be tantamount to slavery. He actually offered to change my name… but I liked mine.”

That made me curious about a couple of other things. Like how many siblings did she have, but we were out of time just then. The door clicked open as Cal and Aida walked up. I stood back a little, not wanting to intrude in her reunion. She laughed and gave them both tight hugs, and pulled them inside.

  “Cal, Aida, this is Tony.”

I smiled tentatively, “Nice to meet you both, come on in.”

I subvocalized and had my home A.I. add them to the guest accounts.

Cal looked about eighteen, he was six foot, brown hair, hazel eyes, had a square jaw and looked like he worked out.

Cal shook my hand and said a little warily, “Nice to meet you too, we came to check up on our sister, and…”

He stopped talking then, because Aisa smacked the back of his head, “Stop, be nice or you can leave.”

Aida was as cute as Aisa, but in a completely different way. Attractive but not overly so. I could guess that the original intent when their father designed them would be to have a pleasing to look at assistant, but nothing overly distracting. To be crass, she was a solid seven, or maybe an eight for guys that leaned towards blondes.

She looked about twenty-one or so, and had shoulder blade length light blonde hair, blue eyes, and an hourglass body. She was about five foot six, and a little more on the soft voluptuous side of Aisa. Her smile was a lot more genuine than Cal’s, and reached her eyes when she looked at me and nodded in greeting.

Aida shrugged and snickered at Aisa’s and Cal’s interaction, her voice was much higher than Aisa’s, but still had a pleasing timber to it when she spoke.

“Nice to meet you too, don’t think bad of Cal, he’s just really overprotective for a younger brother. I choose to believe what Aisa tells us about you.”

I cleared my throat and looked at Aisa questioningly, then looked back, “She talks about me?”

Aida grinned, “All the time, don’t worry though, it’s all good stuff,” she looked at Aisa and said teasingly, “Have you been holding back on what you can do Aisa?”

Aida winked at me, “She can carry on several conversations at once, while helping with your A.I. work, so… yes, all the time. Well, sometimes she gets a little distracted and goes to radio silence.”

Actually I was glad to hear that last part, the idea of Aisa chatting with all of her siblings at once while we had sex would have been very disturbing.

Aisa looked uncomfortable, sibling teasing could be a bitch, so I decided to redirect and led them all to the living room, “Please make yourself at home, do you want something to drink?”

I got a list of drinks and went into the kitchen, Aisa followed me looking a bit nervous.

I asked, “How many siblings do you have?”

“Umm, seven, four boys four girls including me. Except for the two-year gap between Aida and I, we were born once a year,” she said distractedly.

I cupped her face to get her attention, “What are you worried about? I know what you are, and I love you, she was just making sure of me, by teasing you. It doesn’t bother me, I even figured you were holding back on the A.I. programming so I wouldn’t feel bad.”

Her brow furrowed in thought, “Making sure of you?”

I hated seeing her unsure of herself, she had no idea how amazing she truly was.

I shrugged, “Sure, she was trying to shock me with your otherness to see how I would respond, to make sure I really accepted you and not just an illusion of what I thought you were. Not that I think she didn’t enjoy teasing you as well, she’s a sibling right? It’s what they do. But trust me, it was more an attempt to get a read on me, even if she said she took your word for it she wants to make her own judgement. She was just a lot subtler than Cal. Either that, or I read too much into it and she’s just a butt head.”

I wasn’t usually so good at picking up subtext like that, but it seemed obvious to me, probably because I was questioning my own worth at the moment and saw her actions through my own doubts. Sure, shit happens, but surely I should have seen it coming, it hadn’t even occurred to me.

She laughed and burrowed against me chest, back to her usual self, “We should get the drinks and find out why they’re here.”

I nodded and we did just that.

“So what really brings you by? I’m sure you were about worried me, but we talk all the time,” Aisa didn’t beat around the bush as we handed out drinks.

I sat in the loveseat and sipped my coffee as Aisa joined me.

Cal sighed, “We did come to check up on you, yes we talk to you all the time, but I wanted to judge for myself. I also wanted a chance to meet him for myself, I’m sure Aida would agree. But your right, there is more to it than checking your boyfriend.”

Aida and Cal shared a look, and Cal shrugged as if leaving it up to her.

Aida said softly, “A few years ago, my father would have opted for the safer plan rather than take a chance, and just temporarily bought Aisa back, but now he really doesn’t have a choice. He turned ninety-eight just last week, and he’s concerned he won’t live much longer than another year or two. He told us yesterday he’s been worried about it now for a couple of years now.

Aida looked at me, “It’s one of the reasons he took a chance on you with Aisa, thinking at least one of us would have a chance at safety.”

She smiled a little sadly, “He was worried what would happen to us when he passed, since legally we’re all property. Even if he could find eight likeminded people that he believed wouldn’t take advantage of us, or sell us out of greed, it’s unlikely that none of them would turn out that way despite any assurances. He decided he’d rather take a chance of us all being free, than trying to find people, or even one person, to trust us to. Although something had to be done in that way, just in case.”

She looked at me intensely, “So we came to make our own evaluation of you, since you’ve already proven yourself trustworthy with Aisa, minus a little stupidity… because he may pass before the decision of our freedom is decided. But really, that’s just the backup interim plan, the main reason or focus for why we’re here is to help with the case.

“We all talked, and decided there would be lots of media attention and testing when this goes forward. The two of us volunteered, we figured one of each sex was a good idea, but the oldest males, Bill and Dan are… shy you could say. So Cal was the oldest male interested in doing this. When the news hits, we can go on talk shows, volunteer for testing so they can see three different results, which will inconclusively prove we have three different personalities and aren’t carbon copies. Basically, if you agree we’re here to help with the hard stuff, and support our sister.”

I was frozen in surprise, as I was pretty sure she said she was evaluating me to see if I was safe enough to be used as an inheritor for all of Aisa’s siblings if James Ellings died before the trial was decided. Hopefully that wouldn’t happen, I honestly didn’t want the responsibility. I would do it, for Aisa’s sake, but I wouldn’t want it.

I looked at Aisa, she didn’t seem disturbed at all, or have any objections. If anything she seemed happy with the idea of her siblings being around, “I do have a guest bedro
om, but only one. You’re more than welcome to stay if that’s sufficient?”

Cal shrugged, “That should work as someplace to hang up my clothes, but if you don’t mind I’ll sleep on the couch.”

Aida nodded, “And since we’re staying for quite a while mostly, I think we’ll be exceeding guest status, so we’ll buy our own food. But Aisa’s cooking.”

Aisa snorted, “That’s why you’re really here, you just miss my cooking.”

Aida shuddered, “Damn right, I hate cooking, and Sally never met anything she hasn’t burned either. Bill isn’t bad, but he only cooks once a week.”

Aisa giggled, “Welcome to our home.”

I was glad they were here for all the reasons listed except one, and that one reason made it a little awkward in the beginning. No one likes to feel judged, and for the first few days every time I caught Aida or Cal looking at me, or when they talked to me, I wondered what they were thinking about and if this was just a conversation, or some kind of subtle test. It was nerve wracking. I couldn’t exactly blame them either, since they were deciding if they trusted me with their very lives, it’s not like I could tell them to cut it out.

Aisa was a gem however, and though it was a fairly large adjustment doubling the bodies in the home, it didn’t strain our relationship at all. It didn’t really cut down on the sex much either. The first time Aisa dragged me into the bedroom in the middle of the day, and dropped to her knees, I’d been surprised and felt a little self-conscious about it, having her siblings right in the other room.

Of course, that didn’t last long under her enthusiastic and expert ministrations, in fact her siblings relative closeness in location stopped mattering entirely to me in a shockingly short period of time, Aisa was utterly irresistible. About the only real change to our sex life was it had become restricted to one room in the condo.

It was sometime around the third day together when I noticed a subtle shift. Cal loosened up quite a bit now that he’d seen how happy, and how well I treated and respected Aisa. Aida seemed to come to a similar conclusion, and although the teasing of Aisa didn’t entirely stop, Aida didn’t seem all that focused on my reactions anymore.

I didn’t ask what their decision was, and they didn’t tell me. Honestly, I hoped never to find out, with any luck the case wouldn’t take years, and their father would live long enough to see his children freed.

“We should go out tonight,” I said casually as I grabbed a coffee and sat down to breakfast, the fourth morning after they’d arrived.

Aida looked over at me alarmingly, “Out?” she asked nervously.

I nodded, “Sure, dinner, drinks, maybe a bit of dancing. It’s Aisa’s and my date night tonight, but you two have been cooped up in here for four days, and I thought you’d want to get out too.”

Aida looked nervous about the idea, and I frowned.

I said a little too harshly, “You’re here to help with the case right? If you can’t do dinner and dancing how will you go on talk shows, and let scientists, doctors, and psychologists poke and prod you?”

She looked away and I cleared my throat guiltily, “That came out harsher than I intended, I was just surprised at your reaction given the reason you’re here, what’s going on? You didn’t seem nervous at all when you met me for the first time.”

Aida looked back at me and hesitated a moment before she spoke, “I… already kind of knew you, or felt like I did from Aisa talking about you all the time. You’re right though, I need to get used to being around a lot of people. But, it is out of our comfort zone, Aisa is the bravest of us, the only one that wanted to leave so far. All I’ve known growing up is my father, my siblings, and living in the middle of nowhere with no one else around. It was harder than I thought it’d be to just travel straight to your apartment.”

I nodded thoughtfully, “Aisa and I will be there, so will Cal. You don’t have to go, but you may want to get used to the idea. At least tonight you’ll have a shield of sorts, and anonymity. Although I won’t stop anyone from asking you to dance, you’re on your own there.” I couldn’t resist getting her back for all that teasing she’d done to Aisa and I.

Aida froze, and Cal and Aisa chose that moment to walk into the kitchen and sit down.

Cal asked catching the awkward silence, “What’s going on?”

“We’re going out to dinner and dancing tonight, I think I alarmed Aida by bringing up the possibility of strange men asking her to dance.”

  Aisa giggled.

Cal snickered at the look on his sister’s face and said, “That sounds like a good idea, we need to get used to being around other people.”

Aida stuck her tongue out at Cal, doing that must run in the family, and then said, “Fine, you’re right. We’ll go dancing.”

  Chapter 10

Aisa snickered, “Close your mouth dear.”

Aisa looked absolutely stunning in a red strapless tube dress that hugged every curve of her body, from her deliciously revealed cleavage down to the middle of her thighs. She had on a pair of dark red high heels, and her legs and ass looked amazing as she spun around for me, her long raven hair swished alluringly.

I had no interest in her sister, I was in love with Aisa, but that didn’t mean I was blind either. Aida looked sinfully sexy with her light blonde hair put up, revealing her flawless ivory skin on her long graceful neck, and all the way down to her cleavage was bare, with the exception of a small pearl necklace. She was wearing a dress similar to Aisa’s, only in light blue, and it hugged all of her soft curves from tits to ass.

One soft and voluptuous, one petite and sexy, but still more than curvy enough, and I wondered if going out dancing was such a good idea after all. I’d have to make sure I didn’t stare at Aida too much tonight. I wouldn’t go further than eye candy regardless, just because my dick didn’t know it was Aisa’s sister didn’t mean I wasn’t fully aware of that fact, but even just looking could still get me in trouble.

Still, it would hardly be a chore to keep my eyes on Aisa all night, she was just as beautiful, and I was madly in love with her which tipped the scales. Of course, what I couldn’t have had an allure of its own. I finally did get my mouth to close correctly, and Aisa took my arm as we headed out the door.

Aida still looked a little nervous, but not nearly as bad as this morning. Cal and Aisa were enjoying the opportunity to subtly tease their sister for a change, which seemed to actually help her stay grounded. Nothing shook off fear like annoyance and anger.

We went to a restaurant and ate relatively light meals, none of us wanted to be over full when we got to the club. By this time Aida was a lot less nervous courtesy of two glasses of liquid courage, and we took an air cab to save the ladies feet from walking for blocks in high heels. The club was pretty packed, but not horribly so as it was still relatively early on a Friday night, and we were able to find a table easily enough.

After a first round of drinks, I grabbed Aisa’s hand and headed for the dance floor. She looked great and we were both having a good time. The music, the way her body moved with mine, and quite possibly the alcohol had me thinking ahead to when we were home, and I’d get to peal that dress off of her supple body. The music was too loud for conversation, but I picked up her signal wanting rest after the third dance and we headed back to the table.

Cal was gone, I couldn’t see him. I hoped that meant he’d gone off to score himself a dance. Aida on the other hand, sat there alone looking miserable, which was very strange as I could see a few guys looking her way.

I leaned in close, my lips close to her ear and instantly regretted it. She really was attractive, and being that close to her, I caught the sweet scent of her skin, but I manfully ignored it, scolded my libido, and sucked it up. It was the only way we’d be able to hear each other speak. It also helped that Aisa was hanging on my arm, I’d never hurt her, or cheat on her, but the constant reminder of her presence made that easier.

“Why aren’t you dancing? Someone must have a
sked you.”

She turned her head, and I turned mine to give her my ear, “They did, I just… didn’t want to.”

Ugh, she sounded nervous again and I felt guilty. Maybe this place hadn’t been the best choice to get Aida out in the world for the first time, the place was packed. I squeezed her shoulder lightly, and then sat down, Aisa’s chair was very close to mine and she was practically in my lap, and we ordered another round of drinks. I took a look around the place, and spotted Cal out on the dance floor with a cute brunette, at least he was having a good time.

Aisa and I watched as we sipped our drinks, at least two guys stopped at the table to ask Aida to dance, but she sent them both packing with a nervous smile. Well, it wasn’t really my problem even if I did bring them here, at least she’s out. Next time I’ll suggest a place a little more laid back.

Or at least, I didn’t think it was my problem, until Aisa leaned over and whispered in my ear.

“She looks miserable, why don’t you take her out there for a song, I won’t mind, promise. I’ll even sit here like a good little girl and turn down all the horny men that will no doubt sweep down upon me when you leave.”

Then she moved back and winked at me. Dear lord, she had no idea what she was asking. I gave her a longsuffering put upon look while my libido did cartwheels in my stomach, because I now had a valid excuse to get close too and even touch Aida. Surely there was a room for me reserved in hell, but it was all natural reactions, I couldn’t really help it, I could only control what I did or tried to do about it.

Which would definitely be nothing. Even if I was dumb enough to hit on her, I was sure she’d just slap me anyway.

Still, it just seemed like a bad idea, like playing with fire. I wasn’t joking about the never cheat part, hell, I’d been faithful for ten years to Marilynn, and I hadn’t felt anything as much toward her as I do Aisa. I also wondered why I was so suddenly attracted to Aida tonight. It couldn’t just be the dress despite how exquisitely gorgeous she was in it, since she’d been living with me for four days now and I surely noticed how cute she was before tonight.
